Horizontal spacing syntax in latex

I typically use \quad to get more space in latex, and knew there were other space commands to use in-text, but had never remembered them past one use. Well, Andy Roberts has a neat 3-page guide, Horizontal spacing in maths.

In particular, spaces all smaller than a quad are:

\, is a small space,

\: a medium space,

\; a large space, and

\! a negative space,
